Grasshopper goes through incomplete metamorphosis,
Which has only three stages
1. Egg
2. Nymph
3. Adult

Female grasshopper lay egg pods
containing between 15to 150eggs.
The eggs are so tiny you can
compare them with coin
Female bury these egg pods under
the ground to keep them safe from
predators.

Nymph
Nymph are much like fully
formed adult grasshopper,
accept they are smaller and
have no wings or
reproductive organs.
Nymphgoes through five
stages to become an adult.

By the time summer comes
around, grasshopper will have reached
their full adult size.
The female finds a good place to lay her
eggs about 1-2weeks after becoming an
adult, then the cycle begins again.
They will live until fall, when the colder
weather killes them off.
